The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, which will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The Continuous Improvement Specialist will provide expertise in the implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives, collaborating on projects to drive CI objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the organization. This position not only initiates and drives improvement ideas but also executes actions, delivering meaningful impact on operational performance through cross-functional team collaboration, strong self-initiative, and effective use of Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Follow up with operations to verify and review Continuous Improvement items, ensuring value creation through time and cost savings.
  • Educate employees on current systems and processes in place for Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Develop and implement lean manufacturing tools, such as charts, forms, dashboards, checklists, and more.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and deliver process improvement initiatives that drive increased customer satisfaction and operating cost reduction.
  • Lead the integration of process improvements into business practices, establishing and maintaining high quality assurance standards, procedures, and controls.
  • Support the design and fabrication of Lean Continuous Improvement projects, including shadow boards, fixtures, and signage on the CNC Router.
  • Provide technical leadership and support in the development of process maps and procedures for SOP manuals, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with best practices.
  • Support functions to improve overall process efficiencies and assist operations with execution, including training, data analysis, and process improvements.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with subject matter experts (SMEs), project team members, and management across the organization.
  • Raise awareness of and support the use of process improvement methods and tools through education, information sharing, and sharing of best practices.
  • Perform other projects as assigned by management.
 
Technical Qualifications / Requirements
  • Lean Six Sigma certification required.
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task, and attentive to detail.
  • Experience with CAD and CNC fabrication is an asset.
  • Knowledge of data analytics and SQL is advantageous.
  • Team player who can motivate and inspire others, and drive change within the organization to meet team goals and objectives.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions, with prior experience developing and leading a team or significant multidisciplinary project.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and explain critical issues.
  • Self-directed, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a focus on results.
